Matt Drudge’s first tweet in months came with a cryptic message: “A shocking truth is unfolding: America has been arming ISIS.”

“Moderate rebels who had been armed and trained by the United States either surrendered or defected to the extremists as the Jabhat al-Nusra group, affiliated with al-Qaida, swept through the towns and villages the moderates controlled in the northern province of Idlib, in what appeared to be a concerted push to vanquish the moderate Free Syrian Army, according to rebel commanders, activists and analysts,” the Washington Post reported Nov. 2.

Key point, al-Nursa were among the groups the Russian SU 24 was attacking when Turkey chose to publicly join ISIS.

Meanwhile, back in Lesser Britannia....

The former Liberal Democrat leader Paddy Ashdown said: “Who is arming ISIS, who is providing safe havens for ISIS? To get there you have to ask questions about the arms everyone’s sold in the region, the role of Saudi Arabia in this. I think there are some very big questions and we have to be careful”

And here is Russia pointing out the 'golly gosh' obvious....

"…Turkey’s actions appear premeditated *, planned, and undertaken with a specific objective."
Lavrov also pointed to Turkey’s role in the propping up the terror network through the oil trade.

Retired French General Dominique Trinquand made similar statements when speaking to Sputnik earlier on Wednesday.
"Turkey is either not fighting ISIL at all or very little, and does not interfere with different types of smuggling that takes place on its border, be it oil, phosphate, cotton or people," he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin described the incident as a "stab in the back by accomplices of terrorists."

Then there is this wee gem....

In late October an Iranian news agency, quoting a senior Iraqi intelligence officer, reported the capture of an Israeli army colonel, named Yusi Oulen Shahak, reportedly related to the ISIS Golani Battalion operating in Iraq in the Salahuddin front. In a statement to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency a Commander of the Iraqi Army stated, “The security and popular forces have held captive an Israeli colonel.” He added that the IDF colonel “had participated in the Takfiri ISIL group’s terrorist operations.” He said the colonel was arrested together with a number of ISIL or IS terrorists, giving the details: “The Israeli colonel’s name is Yusi Oulen Shahak and is ranked colonel in Golani Brigade… with the security and military code of Re34356578765az231434.”

Several ISIL militants arrested in the last one year had already confessed that Israeli agents from Mossad and other Israeli espionage and intelligence bodies were present in the first wave of ISIL attacks on Iraq and capture of Mosul in Summer 2014, but no ranking Israeli agent had been arrested.

Political and military experts told FNA that the capture of the Israeli colonel will leave a grave impact on Iraq’s war strategy, including partnership with Israeli allies.

Since at least 2013 Israeli military have also openly bombed what they claim were Hezbollah targets inside Syria. Investigation revealed that in fact Israel was hitting Syrian military and Hezbollah targets who are valiantly fighting against ISIS and other terrorists. De facto thereby Israel was actually helping ISIS, like General John Allen’s year-long “anti-ISIS” bombings.

That a faction in the Pentagon has secretly worked behind-the-scenes to train, arm and finance what today is called ISIS or IS in Syria is now a matter of open record. In August 2012, a Pentagon document classified “Secret,” later declassified under pressure of the US NGO Judicial Watch, detailed precisely the emergence of what became the Islamic State or ISIS emerging from the Islamic State in Iraq, then an Al Qaeda affiliate.

And, 11 November 2015, yet more history to explain Turkey's actions....

The Iraqi forces seized Turkish weapons and military equipment from the ISIL despite Ankara’s denial of any links with the Takfiri terrorist group.
The forces also found Turkish-made weapons, munitions and rockets in several areas in the provinces of Diyala and Salahuddin and in areas on the outskirts of the capital, Baghdad, during the liberation of those areas of the ISIL terrorists.

Turkey has repeatedly claimed that it has no ties with ISIL and labels it as a “terrorist group”.

Ankara asserts that it supports the al-Qaeda’s official branch in Syria, the Al-Nusra Front, but sees ISIL as an enemy.

Yet, many reports have so far surfaced the media proving that Turkey supports ISIL too.

The al-Nusra Front, or Jabhat al-Nusra (Arabic: جبهة النصرة لأهل الشام‎ Jabhat al-Nuṣrah li-Ahli ash-Shām, "The Support Front for the People of Al-Sham", often abbreviated to JN or JaN), sometimes called al-Qaeda in Syria or al-Qaeda in the Levant,[47] is a Sunni Islamic jihadist militia fighting against Syrian Government forces in the Syrian Civil War, with the aim of establishing an Islamist state in the country.[48] It is the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda,[49] and also operates in neighbouring Lebanon.[50]

And I've seen the denials and I fully understand all the official and unofficial denials.

March this year, Russia announced a new ECW system was being deployed on aircraft etc. There are a number of claims made about this, and if it's all wrong then I'm sure that the US and Turkey will have no issue with removing their Russian threat...............

I'll post some info that I've seen on this system tmrw.
The shooting war starts - ISIS and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Thread rules: It's open to any comment regarding Turkey and it's actions in the fight against ISIS. Hug

Seeing as Turkey has finally declared which side it supports in the War on ISIS, lets take a look at his (Erdogan's) family and their involvement with ISIS.

Important note, all this info predates Turkey choosing to attack Russia.

"Turkish President’s daughter heads a covert medical corps to help ISIS injured members, reveals a disgruntled nurse"

"Bilal Erdoğan (Erdogan's son) who owns several maritime companies, had allegedly signed contracts with European operating companies to carry Iraqi stolen oil to different Asian countries."

So, The Pressies daughter and son are both fully involved with ISIS.........

And now for Turkey's Pres, "Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the action was ''fully in line with Turkey's rules of engagement.''"
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34915754

This has a huge potential to go Postal. The US is busy sucking up to Turkey. While most of Europe is busy backpedaling like crazy as they realise what may come from this.

Meanwhile, for the benefit of those who believe Russia is a pushover and will back down.......

"On 10 April 2014, the USS Donald Cook entered the waters of the Black Sea and on 12 April a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber flew over the vessel triggering an incident that, according to several media reports, completely demoralized its crew, so much so that the Pentagon issued a protest [1].

The USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is a 4th generation guided missile destroyer whose key weapons are Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, and capable of carrying nuclear explosives. This ship carries 56 Tomahawk missiles in standard mode, and 96 missiles in attack mode.

The US destroyer is equipped with the most recent Aegis Combat System. It is an integrated naval weapons systems which can link together the missile defense systems of all vessels embedded within the same network, so as to ensure the detection, tracking and destruction of hundreds of targets at the same time. In addition, the USS Donald Cook is equipped with 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of several stations. For protection, it carries more than fifty anti-aircraft missiles of various types."

http://www.voltairenet.org/article185860.html

"Meanwhile, the Russian Su-24 that buzzed the USS Donald Cook carried neither bombs nor missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage, which, according to the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta [2], contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny.

As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up - or about to be - with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control."

And, for all these people who want to be "hero's" and "Stand with Paris" ( Copyright "The War On Terror 2001")

Well done Europe. And I'm sure that this really sums up Europes response.

Meanwhile, if you could learn to work with the Russians, who actually are achieving results, then ISIS would be out of action within 2 weeks.

... as Sergei Lavrov suggested earlier this week, the US has until now intentionally avoided hitting ISIS where it hurts in order to keep them in the game and ensure they can still be effective at destabilizing Assad. If you cut off the oil trade, they lose the ability to battle the regime.

In any event, there are other pressing questions about ISIS and oil and we encourage you to read more in “The Most Important Question About ISIS That Nobody Is Asking,”* but for now, we turn to Russia and The Kremlin’s efforts to dent Bakr al-Baghdadi’s wallet.

According to Russian General Staff spokesman Colonel General Andrey Kartapolov, “around 500 fuel tanker vehicles transporting illegal oil from Syria to Iraq for processing have been destroyed by Russia’s Air Forces.”

“In recent years, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and other extremist groups have organized the operations of the so-called ‘pipeline on wheels’ on the territories they control,” Kartapolov continued, adding that “in just the first few days, [Russian] aviation has destroyed 500 fuel tanker trucks, which greatly reduced illegal oil export capabilities of the militants and, accordingly, their income from oil smuggling.”

Without further ado, the video from the Russian Defense Ministry:
https://youtu.be/WgYbiCGYy2c

* Most importantly, we added that to be successful in counterterrorism efforts, "the U.S. and its allies must “push the Islamic State out of the oil fields it has captured and disrupt its ability to smuggle the oil to foreign markets."

None of this was surprising to anyone, but what was quite surprising is that it took the allied forces over a year to take the oil revenue threat seriously and begin targeting the Islamic State's oil infrastructure in earnest.

But what we have been wondering for months and what we hope some enterprising journalist will soon answer, is just who are the commodity trading firms that have been so generously buying millions of smuggled oil barrels procured by the Islamic State at massive discounts to market, and then reselling them to other interested parties.

In other words, who are the middlemen.

What we do know is who they may be: they are the same names that were quite prominent in the market in September when Glencore had its first, and certainly not last, near death experience: the Glencores, the Vitols, the Trafiguras, the Nobels, the Mercurias of the world.

To be sure, funding terrorist states is not something that some of the most prominent names in the list above have shied away from in the past.

But wait, what nationalities are these names ???????

People die in wars, that's why I, as a buddhist, am completely opposed to any violence to any sentient living being.

But burying your head in the sand and changing your profile pic on Farcebook is stupid. If these deaths achieve anything, then let them achieve an end to these banker driven wars. If we don't stop this, then all these millions of people have died just so some people get richer. That's all that these wars are about.

If what I say is 'CONSPIRACY' stuff, then why do these wars keep happening ?

In exactly the same way, for exactly the same banks.

Try to think about why wars REALLY happen, and it certainly isn't because the common people (cannon fodder) want them.

Former managing director of Goldman Sachs – and head of the international analytics group at Bear Stearns in London (Nomi Prins) – notes:

Throughout the century that I examined, which began with the Panic of 1907 … what I found by accessing the archives of each president is that through many events and periods, particular bankers were in constant communication [with the White House] — not just about financial and economic policy, and by extension trade policy, but also about aspects of World War I, or World War II, or the Cold War, in terms of the expansion that America was undergoing as a superpower in the world, politically, buoyed by the financial expansion of the banking community.

In the beginning of World War I, Woodrow Wilson had adopted initially a policy of neutrality. But the Morgan Bank, which was the most powerful bank at the time, and which wound up funding over 75 percent of the financing for the allied forces during World War I … pushed Wilson out of neutrality sooner than he might have done, because of their desire to be involved on one side of the war.

Now, on the other side of that war, for example, was the National City Bank, which, though they worked with Morgan in financing the French and the British, they also didn’t have a problem working with financing some things on the German side, as did Chase …

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque

Kropp on the other hand is a thinker. He proposes that a declaration of war should be a kind of popular festival with entrance-tickets and bands, like a bull fight. Then in the arena the ministers and generals of the two countries, dressed in bathing-drawers and armed with clubs, can have it out among themselves. Whoever survives, his country wins. That would be much simpler and more just than this arrangement, where the wrong people do the fighting.

"Then what exactly is the war for?" asks Tjaden.
Kat shrugs his shoulders. "There must be some people to whom the war is useful."
"Well, I'm not one of them," grins Tjaden.
"Not you, nor anybody else here."

"But what I like to know," says Albert, "is whether there would not have been a war if the Kaiser had said No. […] Well, if not him alone, then perhaps if twenty or thirty people in the world had said No."

‘I hated losing,’ he says. ‘When you hate losing, you find a way to win. The thing I find is that when you are backed into a corner, you can do one of two things: it’s either you accept you are going to lose or you come out swinging.
‘My attitude has always been: “If you beat me, then next time I meet you, I want to beat you and I don’t want to just beat you, I want to absolutely give it to you”. It’s that sort of drive and mentality that gave me the success I had on the pitch. I hated coming second to anybody.
‘I gave the person the respect that they are due as a rugby player but outside of that, I don’t fear nobody. It’s just the way I attacked life. This disease is a challenge but you either lie down and die or you accept it and carry on. That’s where I have been very fortunate. I have just never been able to accept coming second to anybody or anything, including an illness.’
Now that he has his boys, his motivation for overcoming the disease has changed. He does not think about rugby any more. He thinks about his sons and making sure they are protected from the hardships he suffered during his own traumatic childhood.
Lomu’s father used to beat both him and his mother until, as a young teenager, Lomu snapped and fought back. He was banished from home and did not speak to his father again for 17 years.

At Sydney's Stadium Australia, in front of a world record 110,000 people, the Australian and New Zealand Rugby teams played what many have called "the greatest game of Rugby ever played".

After just eight minutes the All Blacks were leading by an unbelievable 24 to 0. Miraculously, the Wallabies came back and were leading 35 to 34 when, in the dying moments of the game, the great All Black winger Jonah Lomu scored the winning try.

I think he should let the descendants of Te Wharerangi tell their own story. That's the proper order. I'm direct line through Te Raroa, Te Wharerangi, and my mother Parerohi. Our version of our koro's story differs markedly from the story of these people I have never met. The moral of the story is that Te Wharerangi lays down his life for his enemy Te Rauparaha. Ten years later Te Wharerangi is killed by those people that sought Te Rauparaha's life, according to the utu principle. it is a shame that the people telling our koro's story have got it so wrong, and so Ngati Toa, also have it so wrong. At Okahukura on the poutokomanawa, Te Rauparaha occupies the bottom rank, inverted under our kuia. Here, there is no mana. Furthermore, Okahukura, isn't a person like Rakeipoho or Haikairo. It is a place. And finally, Te Wharerangi's father Tukaiora, is pre-waka.

"The New Zealand government regarded# the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior by French agents in 1985 as an act of international terrorism. "

Yeah, but we tend to be a bit more realistic than just changing our farcebook profile pictures.

And France did train ISIS forces so maybe the families may want to know that and take appropriate action ...........

And it could have been worse.

# Two DGSE officers, Dominique Prieur and Alain Mafart, were arrested on 24 July 1985. Both were charged with murder, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment. The case was a source of considerable embarrassment to the French government. While the attack was on an international organisation rather than New Zealand itself, most New Zealanders did not make such a distinction. The fact that it was committed on New Zealand territory by a supposed friend produced a sense of outrage and a serious deterioration in relations between New Zealand and France.
France used its influence to threaten New Zealand's access to the important European Economic Community market, and New Zealand exports to France were boycotted. New Zealanders reacted in a similar manner to French imports. Eventually, both countries agreed to allow the United Nations to mediate a settlement.

Almost a year after the bombing, on 8 July 1986, United Nations Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar announced, in a binding decision, that New Zealand would receive an apology and compensation of $13 million from France, which was also ordered not to interfere with New Zealand’s trade negotiations. Dominique Prieur and Alain Mafart were to serve their sentences in full on Hao Atoll in French Polynesia.

In what was seen as the final insult, both prisoners were released early. Alain Marfart returned to France because of ‘illness’ in 1987, while Dominique Prieur was repatriated in May 1988 because she was pregnant.

Both were decorated and promoted upon their return home.

And, if we all REALLY care about innocent victims, then try commenting and caring about these human lives lost !

"A year ago, a report released by the United Nations carefully documented known instances of Islamic State barbarity against Muslims, noting in the first eight months of 2014 Isis was the “primary actor” responsible for the deaths of 9,347 civilians in Iraq.

In September, the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ISCR) released a report based on the testimonies of 58 defectors from the group.

Among the study’s findings was a consistent narrative that Isis was primarily concerned with “sectarian” issues: “one of the most persistent criticisms was the extent to which the group is fighting against other Sunni rebels.”

There are no exact figures available for the number of Muslims killed by Isis, but there have been multiple documented instances of their treatment of fellow Muslims.

In November a video resurfaced showing the execution of around 250 Syrian soldiers, while in October four of the 69 prisoners freed by a US and Kurdish operation spoke of Isis’s treatment of Sunni Muslims.

“They executed him in cold blood,” sobbed one captive as he described his brother’s death at the militants’ hands."

That is from Britains Independent newspaper.

Then of course there is this non story.
And none of you want to address this for some reason.

"A new analysis of the data available to the public about drone strikes, conducted by the human-rights group Reprieve, indicates that even when operators target specific individuals – the most focused effort of what Barack Obama calls “targeted killing” – they kill vastly more people than their targets, often needing to strike multiple times. Attempts to kill 41 men resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1,147 people, as of 24 November 2014."

Just bothered reading the Readme for the .9 update. Never noticed this before. Actually, never read this far through the readme before either !

"If your system has a motion platform, then DiRT Rally should be able to control it. This feature is completely untested beyond checking that the basic data output is correct, and as such should be used entirely at your own risk. The output format is designed to be compatible with the "Live for Speed" outsim motion platform format. To enable, just open the hardware_settings_config.XML file and edit the motion attributes:

<motion enabled="true" ip="192.168.0.10" port="20777" delay="1" extradata="0" />

enabled - Set 'true' or 'false' to enable or disable the motion platform
ip - The IP address of the motion platform
port - The port of the motion platform
delay - the time between data updates from the game (1/100ths second).
extradata - This should always be set to '0'"

And from the 'This will never appear in your media Dept'

Remember the G20 is on in Turkey ATM.

President Vladimir Putin says he’s shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states.

Putin also spoke of the urgent need to curb the illegal oil trade by IS.

“I’ve shown our colleagues photos taken from space and from aircraft which clearly demonstrate the scale of the illegal trade in oil and petroleum products,” he said.

“The motorcade of refueling vehicles stretched for dozens of kilometers, so that from a height of 4,000 to 5,000 meters they stretch beyond the horizon,” Putin added, comparing the convoy to gas and oil pipeline systems.

In fact, Russia has pointedly asked this question....

The refusal to share intelligence on terrorists “just confirms once more what we knew from the very start, that the US goals in Syria have little to do with creating the conditions for a political process and national reconciliation,” Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Thursday.

“I would risk saying that by doing this the US and the countries that joined the US-led coalition are putting themselves in a politically dubious position. The question is: which side are you fighting for in this war?”

A question that NZ refuses to answer at home, despite sending our SAS to help train ISIS.........

Investigative journalist Jon Stephenson told RadioLIVE on Tuesday that according to “very reliable sources” New Zealand’s elite SAS commandos are already secretly operating in Iraq. Stephenson, whose reporting in Afghanistan helped expose the complicity of New Zealand forces in war crimes, dismissed the claims of “training and mentoring” as a “cover” and said New Zealand was going to be “part of the killing process.”

The decision to send troops was made following consultation with New Zealand’s main allies in Washington, London and Canberra,

Well, in the wake of the Paris terror attacks (which themselves came on the heels of the Russian passenger jet disaster over the Sinai Peninsula and bombings in Beirut that killed 43), everyone involved apparently felt compelled to send some kind of message to the public regarding a collective desire to work towards a solution in Syria and so, the foreign ministers have now produced an amorphous “transition plan” for the country that calls for a meeting between Assad and “recognized” opposition groups followed by a cease fire within 6 months. Ultimately, there would be a new constitution and elections by the the end of 2017. Here’s Bloomberg with more:

Seventeen nations, spurred on by Friday’s deadly attacks in Paris, overcame their differences on how to end Syria’s civil war and adopted a timeline that will let opposition groups help draft a constitution and elect a new government by 2017.

As a first step, the United Nations agreed to convene Syria’s government with opposition representatives by Jan. 1, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Saturday at a joint press conference in Vienna. A cease-fire between the government in Damascus and recognized opposition groups should be in place within six months, according to their statement.

“It is time to deprive the terrorists of any single kilometer in which to hide,” Kerry said. “There can be no doubt that this crisis is not Syria’s alone to bear.”

Assad has “cut his own deal” with Islamic State, (Complete rubbish, read this UK/US report about Turkey.) buying oil from the group and failing to attack militants, Kerry said. (Kerry really is full of bovine excrement) Assad’s allies have conveyed that he’s prepared to be serious and engage in talks, but the “proof will be in the pudding,” he said.

Diplomats meeting in the Austrian capital also decided to place Islamic State, along with the al-Qaeda affiliated Nusra Front terrorist group, on a list of those subject to military strikes even when a cease-fire is in place. The list, managed by the Kingdom of Jordan, may later be expanded to include other groups in Syria, Kerry and Lavrov said.

The Paris attacks “show that it doesn’t matter if you’re for Assad or against him,” said Lavrov, “ISIS is your enemy.”

Well, maybe. Unless of course you view ISIS as a valuable destabilizing element that helps not only to keep Assad off balance but also to undercut Iranian influence in Iraq, in which case ISIS wouldn’t be your enemy. “Strategic asset” gone rogue, maybe. “Frankenstein” turned on its creators, maybe. But not exactly your “enemy.”

Here are the main points:

1 Month, or, by Dec. 14: Diplomats will reconvene to review progress
Jan. 1: UN will seek to convene Syrian government and opposition in formal negotiations
6 Months, or, by May 14, 2016: Cease-fire between Syrian government and opposition groups; process for drafting new constitution
18 Months, or, by May 14, 2017: Free elections administered by the UN held under the new constitution
Obviously this is just a concilliatory half measure (at best) designed to pacify a panicked public.

Need proof? Just look how excited Kerry and Lavrov are:

Make no mistake, there's no real "plan" here. What will almost invariably happen is that the US will go right back to dropping ammo to "moderates", the Saudis and Qatar will go right back to providing support to who knows which Sunni extremists in Syria, while Russia and Iran will go right back to eradicating anything that even looks like a rebel.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-15/syria-fixed-kerry-devises-farcical-transition-plan-russia-others

The real question - when you really sit down and think about it - is why, if the West is so determined to wipe out ISIS, Washington hasn't simply embedded 1,000 or so spec ops with the Kurds and marched on Raqqa, the ISIS capital. Kurdish forces just retook the Iraqi city of Sinjar (where ISIS displaced and terrorized the Yazidis last year) with relative ease under cover of US airstrikes. You can drive from Sinjar to Raqqa in less than six hours:

And it's not like the US has to worry about running into the Russians in the course of providing air cover. After all, Russia has for now pretty much conceded that airspace to the US while Moscow and Tehran restore Assad's power base in the West. Just take a look at the Russian airstrike map (it's not up to the minute, but you get the idea):

"The point is that this is completely farcical. Russia and Iran are doing exactly what they set out to do. That is, first they'll restore the Assad regime and stabilize the country by taking back major cities in the west, then they'll turn to ISIS in the east.

But what, may we ask, is the US doing? Look at the maps above, consider that the US and the Kurds just took back Sinjar in the space of something like 72 hours and ask yourself this: "What is The Pentagon waiting for?"

If Washington is serious about defeating ISIS, just send in 1,000 spec ops, gather up some YPG soldiers, fire up the air support (the Russians aren't even in the area), walk down to Raqqa, and just take it from them. It's almost like the US and America's regional allies don't want to the world to know what's down there."

(And, my comment here, - Actually, the simple answer is that Turkey wants to take out the Kurds, so the above is completely out of the question, and so the game goes on.....)

"Amidst protesters' chants of "Murderous ISIL, collaborator AKP," Erdogan finally agreed last Thursday to enter the US-led campaign against ISIS, sending fighter jets into Syria and granting the US strategic use of a key airbase in the southeast to launch airstrikes.

At the same time, Turkey began bombing Kurdish PKK shelters and storage facilities in northern Iraq, the AP reported, indicating that the AKP still sees Kurdish advances as a major — if not the biggest — threat, despite the Kurds' battlefield successes against ISIS in northern Syria."

Try reading it !

History is like a jigsaw puzzle, you need to put together many different pieces to get an idea of the picture.

This article is a mix of sources, all with links and often with multiple sources for the facts raised. It's mainly US media, US intelligence, and Investigative Journalists, like Seymour Hersh. As the article says in the introduction, get a cup of coffee and have a long read. Smile

And, as a tiny spoiler, just to give you an idea of whats here and of the groups America et al are arming and training.......

"Current and former American officials acknowledge the government’s lack of deep knowledge about the rebels. “We need to do everything we can to figure out who the non-ISIS opposition is,” said Ryan C. Crocker, a former United States ambassador to Iraq and Syria. “Frankly, we don’t have a clue.”

And yet, as the Wall Street Journal, PBS, CNN, New York Times, Medium, Pulitzer prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh and others note, the U.S. and its allies have poured huge amounts of weapons and support to the Syrian Islamic “rebels”. This is in spite of the CIA warning President Obama that arming rebels rarely works.

The Pentagon and the CIA, as well as Britain and France, have been training Syrian rebels in neighboring Jordan since at least October 2012, as reported by The Guardian."

And for our "USA !!!, USA !!!, USA !!!" readers...

"Why hasn’t Fox News been blasting alerts like “Obama Backs Muslim Terrorists, Helping to Create the Islamic State” for years? Wouldn’t their xenophobic viewers gobble up such red meat with relish? Couldn’t the Republicans make stacks of political hay with such a talking point?

But, no, apparently bigotry and scaremongering are only to be harnessed to support war, and never to oppose it. The right’s criticism of Obama’s Syria policy has been that he hasn’t supported the al-Qaeda/ISIS-led Syrian opposition enough. Apparently, the lesson of 9/11 is that we must embrace perpetual war, even if it means fighting with the perpetrators of 9/11 in that war."

And to end on from the above link .....

"The secret Pentagon document thus provides extraordinary confirmation that the US-led coalition currently fighting ISIS, had three years ago welcomed the emergence of an extremist ‘Salafist Principality’ in the region as a way to undermine Assad, and block off the strategic expansion of Iran. Crucially, Iraq is labeled as an integral part of this ‘Shia expansion.’

The establishment of such a ‘Salafist Principality’ in eastern Syria, the DIA document asserts, is ‘exactly’ what the ‘supporting powers to the [Syrian] opposition want.’ Earlier on, the document repeatedly describes those ‘supporting powers’ as ‘the West, Gulf countries, and Turkey.’

Further on, the document reveals that Pentagon analysts were acutely aware of the dire risks of this strategy, yet ploughed ahead anyway."

I suggest reading this, it's probably one of the more comprehensive reviews of the whole middle east situation and should be a required read to understand whats been going on over the past 50 years or so.

"A highly classified annex to the report, not made public, described a secret agreement reached in early 2012 between the Obama and Erdoğan administrations. It pertained to the rat line. By the terms of the agreement, funding came from Turkey, as well as Saudi Arabia and Qatar; the CIA, with the support of MI6, was responsible for getting arms from Gaddafi’s arsenals into Syria. A number of front companies were set up in Libya, some under the cover of Australian entities. Retired American soldiers, who didn’t always know who was really employing them, were hired to manage procurement and shipping. The operation was run by David Petraeus, the CIA director who would soon resign when it became known he was having an affair with his biographer. (A spokesperson for Petraeus denied the operation ever took place.)"

"High-level American sources admitted that the Turkish government – a fellow NATO country – carried out the chemical weapons attacks blamed on the Syrian government; and high-ranking Turkish government admitted on tape plans to carry out attacks and blame it on the Syrian government"

Stop with the Muslim hate please. It is completely disgusting and pathetic hate speech.

"ISIS gets its weapons with money" you claim....

Turkey, your NATO partner is buying their oil !!!

USA, France, UK, NZ, train them and give them money.

Israel provides their medical care. ISIS is a Western invention, seriously, are none of you capable of actually using Google, even the mainstream media report this.....

The only major state fighting ISIS is Russia, please make some faint attempt to comment with some knowledge because ATM most of you seem to have no knowledge and can only parrot your media's propoganda.

Whilst the loss of life, as with ALL murders is disgracful. I would remind people of the fact that millions have been killed since 2000 in terror attacks and illegal wars.
And French lives are no more important than Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Iraqi, Afghan, or any other nationality or race.

I would also suggest that the hating of Muslims is completely misplaced.

So, have you actually tried deleting "card_cfg.txt" from your LFS folder ?

Then re-started LFS after deleting this file, as after doing this the file will automatically be re-created, then LFS should restart to the default video setup.

Yes/No ?

Have you tried a clean reinstall of LFS to a new folder

Yes/No ?

This post is well off the main site, and I've already posted that the links to dx9 are fine. Tested by me and proven to work....

Am I wrong ???????

My one real hope is that the dev's bother reading this, cus what I post here is whats happening now in the real world.

I'm actually well past caring anymore cus ALL this has been stated for years.

If the Dev's choose to finally listen then they may save this sim, if not, then, well, I've tried........

"Where is the Popcorn dude ?"

"Netflix and Chill" LOLZZZ .....

Welcome to the 21st century.....

Clean win 10 install's actually requires quite a bit of IT knowledge.

I've already reversed 8 Win 10 installs to either 7 or 8.1. The 7 installs were for older clients who were upset about losing games !.

Win 8.1 restore's were because M$ screwed up Intel video drivers, big time for ASUS, lesser for other hardware. But still a SNAFU. And a range of other hardware issues.

That's not including the 'magic' I've had to perform getting software to work with Win 10 that suppliers claim it won't work with (Quickbooks).

Seriously, if you release Occ Rift stuff then DX 12 should be your target. Occ Rift state their min requirements quite clearly.

Why does the user base have to support a program that claims Occ Rift capability without clearly stating Farce Books min requirements are LFS min requirements. ??????

DX 9 was released in 2002, by most maths that was 13 years ago..............

In 2002, Microsoft released DirectX 9 with support for the use of much longer shader programs than before with pixel and vertex shader version 2.0. Microsoft has continued to update the DirectX suite since then, introducing Shader Model 3.0 in DirectX 9.0c, released in August 2004.

"For the full Rift experience, we recommend the following system:

NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater
Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater
8GB+ RAM
Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
2x USB 3.0 ports
Windows 7 SP1 or newer
The goal is for all Rift games and applications to deliver a great experience on this configuration. Ultimately, we believe this will be fundamental to VR’s success, as developers can optimize and tune their game for a known specification, consistently achieving presence and simplifying development.

All of the games and applications for the Rift created by Oculus will provide an incredible experience on this system.

Binstock, Oculus chief architect, wrote a detailed technical post outlining the recommended system specification and the reasoning behind it, along with more Rift details, here: “Powering the Rift”.
https://www.oculus.com/en-us/blog/the-rifts-recommended-spec-pc-sdk-0-6-released-and-mobile-vr-jam-voting/

So, if your running less than this setup, Don't bother expecting LFS community support.

FYI, I run far less than this spec for a 400 FPS min gaming experience with LFS at 1920x1080 with everything maxed out.......,
Go figure........

Our main issue here is ping and a complete lack of servers. Hmmmmmm

Hi AC, Dirt Rally, iRacing, PCars, etc, etc which actually work here. We have had great LFS servers in the past, great racing series, etc.

WOW, we have virtual Bathurst, V8 Supercars, etc, etc. All this racing is happening ATM and, bluntly, why care about LFS ???.

There is a huge amount of online racing happening right now and the Dev's need to choose to get their act sorted or just be a footnote in history.

And it's up to only the Devs to make that choice.
I've supported this game for years but, hmmmm, why any more?
